In Memory of

Police Officers Lonnie Wells and Marcus Stiles, of neighboring Berkeley County, lost their lives in a violent Sunday afternoon confrontation that shattered the Lowcountry. The Charleston Triathlon Club, in recognition of the services that our law enforcement agencies provide for our events, is making a donation to the fund that has been established to assist the families of the slain officers.

Peter Hastings

On Sunday September 25, 2005 beloved Charleston area triathlete and doctor Peter Hastings passed away. Peter leaves behind his wife Michele and their three young children, Pete, Erin, and Christopher. Peter, 38, was a top competitor in triathlons, but it was his infectious smile, his generous spirit, and his positive nature that made him a real life champion.
