From The Tent - Important Race Information

Looks like we will have a little cooling weather in the middle of the week but the forecast (according to the weather report) calls for the weekend to be "beautiful with plenty of sun." Now we're talking! Water temperature hit 70 over the weekend and it is possible that this will be the warmest East Cooper Coastal Triathlon in it's four year history.

As of April 14th we have ten teams and 155 individuals registered. If you have not registered please move quickly. Online registration will be available until midnight on Friday unless the 185 individual and 15 team limits have been reached. Packet pick-up and late registration (if available) will be Friday and Saturday from 4 to 7 PM at TrySports in Mount Pleasant. Packet pick up will resume on raceday at 6 AM at the Isle of Palms County Park. There will be NO raceday registration.

Complimentary parking will be available in the Isle of Palms municipal lot (follow the signs). The parking spaces along Ocean Boulevard are metered and will result in a parking ticket ($15) if the meter is not fed beginning at 8 AM.

There will be three waves; first wave- Men and Women's Open / Elite Division (7:30 AM), second wave- all Age Group Men and Clydesdales (7:31 AM), and third wave- all Age Group Women, Athenas, and relays (7:33 AM). You must be body marked, checked in, and at the Swim Start by 7:20 AM. On raceday morning come out early (6 AM) and enjoy the dawn of another beautiful Carolina sunrise. We will have lights in place but it will be getting light about 6:15 AM.

TRYSPORTS (843) 849-9292 is offering wetsuit rentals but there are a limited number of wetsuits and sizes available so contact them directly (and soon) if you are in need of a wetsuit for the triathlon.
